I would appreciate if you read this before posting, though it’s pretty much just common sense. Be advised that I have comment moderation turned on, so your comments will not appear immediately unless I’ve approved one from you before (at least, that’s how I think it works).
Spam Comments
I won’t approve comments where the person’s name links directly to a product website or anything that may be construed as such. If the URL you provide looks like a sales or product site and your comment adds nothing of value to the discussion, you have absolutely no hope of having your comment accepted. Nor will I approve comments where the name links to a specific blog post rather than the blog itself. Also, please don’t use your email as the web address or as your name. The filter marks it as spam and I automatically treat everything as a thousand times more suspicious in the spam folder.
Anti-abuse
I will delete comments that I feel are a personal attack to either myself or another commenter. I will not delete comments because I disagree with your opinion. Keep the language PG-13 and the conversation civil and there should be no problems.
Furthermore, any comments written for the sole purpose of being “first” will be deleted, as will any comments consisting purely of something like “I had to like this”. There is a “like” button for this purpose. Please use it.
